The Briarwood PTA will be having a Read-A-Thon Fundraiser starting April 8th and ending on April 22nd! You will receive an email by Wednesday, April 6th inviting your student to participate.  You can start logging their minutes into the system on April 8th  and begin fundraising via the email mentioned above. If they haven’t received an email by Wednesday (4/6), please contact with your students name, teacher, grade and parent emails and they will be added. You can also send any questions you have to this email. 


Librarian Video on Read-A-Thon


We have the goal of raising $20,000. For the PTA to make their expenses for the 2021/2022 school year we need to raise at least $10,000.  As you know, the restrictions of the past two years have made fundraising difficult.  Donations will help pay for: teacher stipends, art docent program, 5th grade promotion, staff appreciation, Golden Acorn Award and grants. 


The prizes:

  • The top fundraiser will be Principal for the day! AND We will also do a drawing to select one other individual out of all the individuals that participate to be Principal for the day as well. These two individuals will ‘co-principal’ on the same day.
  • The top reader will be Librarian for the day! 
  • For classes that hit 30% of their class goal… they win a Spirit Day!
  • For classes that hit 60% of their class goal… they win a Pajama Spirit Day!
  • For classes that hit 100% of their class goal with all students participating…. they win a special edible treat.
  • And we will have a drawing (~100 individuals) to win a book out of all the students that participate.
