Monday –"Donut" Know What We Would Do Without Teachers Like You! - The PTA is organizing a yummy breakfast for our Briarwood Staff. You can drop the food items off at Chrislyn Johnson's house (you can find the address when signing up via signup genius by clicking the following link). Tuesday –Special Appreciation Treat from the PTA for Briarwood Staff
Wednesday – An Apple for Your Teacher Day - Show your appreciation for your teacher with a healthy snack! While apples have been the traditional go-to for representing thanks, any and all whole, fresh fruit is welcome. Have your child bring their token of thanks to their teacher’s desk this day.
Thursday - Taco Bar - Let's 'Taco'bout our amazing staff at Briarwood! - The PTA is organizing a taco bar to treat the staff to lunch. Please click here to participate by bringing a food item listed. All items should be brought to school during morning drop off on Thursday. PTA will be on site to help collect and set up lunch. Want to bring something not on the list? Friday –Favorite Things Friday! - Show your appreciation for a Briarwood teacher or staff member by wearing their favorite color and bringing them one of their favorite things. A hand made note or picture would also be a great way to show appreciation. Favorite things lists can be found HERE or by visiting the Briarwood PTA website. The Briarwood PTA is collecting multimedia tributes to your favorite teachers and support staff. Their dedication to the students of Briarwood impact not just the children but families as well, so if you as a parent and/or guardian have something to say, please consider making a contribution too! We’re accepting any and all of the following:
-A photo of your child holding a piece of art they did for their teacher -A photo of just the artwork, or a notecard conveying appreciation -An audio file talking about an impactful teacher -A short video* in which you and/or your child share a message of gratitude. (Please note for ease of file sharing and editing, keep video lengths to no longer than 30 seconds.)
Please send your contributions to ptabriarwood@gmail.com between now and Friday, April 29. Submissions will be compiled and edited into a tribute video to be shared with the staff and the larger Briarwood community. Teacher "Thank You" Printables:
We have another fun opportunity for students to share a message of thanks with teachers and staff. The PTA has coloring pages that students can decorate and write what they appreciate about Briarwood teachers and staff. We will also have coloring sheets available in the book nook at school.
