There will be no school from June 17th to August 26th for Summer Break! We hope you all have a wonderful and restful break with loved ones! School will start back up on August 27th!

As we start Summer Break, please be advised that we will check email periodically and response times will vary.  We are a small group of parent volunteers. We appreciate your understanding!

Pro-Tip: If your student has a birthday coming up and/or you want to plan playdates this Summer, please save your student's class contact list before access expires over the Summer!

We are less than a couple weeks away from EVP (Enrollment Verification Process), when you confirm your student will attend Briarwood for the 2026-2027 school year and update their forms. This year, EVP will be open from August 7th to August 14th.

During this time, you will also be able to:
- Join the Briarwood PTA!
- Pre-buy your student's yearbook at the lowest price of the year!
- Purchase Spirit Gear!

Why Join PTA???
- You will get information about volunteering! Volunteering is NOT required, but there are a lot of fun opportunities should you want to!
- Build New Programs for students and staff at Briarwood!

The Briarwood PTA believes that schools should be a good balance of fun and learning. Our PTA works hard to bring both to our community when public funding falls short.

We invite all new families of all grade levels to attend a school tour and open playground on August 20th from 3-4 PM! Come and meet the principal and PTA leaders! Families and siblings are welcome!

There will be two popsicle playdates coming up this Summer for all incoming TK and Kindergarten families!

- July 23rd from 6-7 PM

- August 22nd from 10-11 AM

Come enjoy a popsicle on Briarwood's playground and meet other families! Siblings are welcome to join!

The 2026-2027 School Supplies List is now available. If you want to get a jump on your back to school shopping, you can view your student's list HERE!

Save the date! Our annual Meet the Teacher and Ice Cream Social will take place on Wednesday, August 26th! It is great time to meet your student's teacher, see their classroom, drop off school supplies, and enjoy a frozen treat with other Briarwood families! More information and times will come out closer the event, so stay tuned for details!

ISD requires that any and all volunteers in their schools submit a background check every year. Applications will open up on August 7th! Apply as soon as possible! Processing times can vary! You can apply HERE!

Please note, if you sign up to volunteer and you are not approved, you will be turned away for failure to comply with district policy. Unfortunately, this has happened in the past. Please do not let this happen to you. We want all that want to volunteer to be able to. The intention of this policy is to keep our students safe.
