Summer Break!

School will closed from June 17th to August 26th for Summer Break! We hope you all have a wonderful Summer Break! 

School will resume for the 2026/2027 school year on August 27th! Save the date for Meet the Teacher and School Supplies drop off on August 26th! There will more details to come in August!

It's Okay To Take a Break!

As we start Summer Break, please be advised that we will check email periodically and response times will vary.  We are a small group of parent volunteers. We appreciate your understanding!

Pro-Tip: If your student has a birthday coming up and/or you want to plan playdates this Summer, please save your student's class contact list before access expires over the Summer!

Golden Acorn Awards

The 2025-2026 Golden Acorn Awards go to Stacy Gray and Merrilee Brandt! Both of these wonderful PTA members volunteer in many capacities! Chances are if you have volunteered, you have met these amazing volunteers.

Stacy Gray is Briarwood PTA's Yearbook Chair, Ceramics Program committee member (she fires all the kids projects!), and Art Docent just to name a few!

Merrilee Brandt is Briarwood PTA's social media chair, carnival chair (she helped get our carnival going again!), and in the past Programs Chair just to name a few!

Congratulations to both of these amazing volunteers!

Outstanding Educator Awards!

The 2025-2026 Outstanding Educator Awards go to Amy Taylor and Super Ki!

Amy Taylor is one of Briarwood's amazing 5th Grade teachers! In addition to being an educator, she heads our school's very loved drama program! She inspires her students and drama club members with her creativity and enthusiasm!

Super Ki, Briarwood's lead custodian. Her dedication to making Briarwood a clean, functional, and welcoming place for the school day and after school events is greatly appreciated by students, staff, and all those who visit our school!

Congratulations to these amazing educators!

Incoming TK/Kindergarten Popsicle Playdates!

Our PTA invites all TK and Kindergarten families to join us for a popsicle playdate on the Briarwood Playground on July 23rd from 6-7 PM and August 22nd from 10-11 AM. Come and meet greet fellow new families! Siblings are welcome!
