Welcome back Briarwood Bears and a very special welcome to our new students, families and staff. We look forward to meeting you all!
We have so many fun events planned for the 2025-2026 year including Back to School Ice Cream Social, Popcorn Fridays, Pumpkin Farm Family Night, Arena Sports Night, Book Fairs, Multicultural Event, Carnival, and much more. Please take a look at the yearly calendar of events on the PTA website.

WHAT DOES THE PTA DO?
Briarwood Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers and community members committed to enhancing the educational experience for all children at Briarwood Elementary School.
There is a gap in State and District funding for essential educational programs and classroom support for teachers. Briarwood students benefit from these extra programs that would not be possible without contributions from the Briarwood community. Donations to PTA fundraising activities help fund the following programs and events:

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME WHEN I JOIN?
Becoming a member of the PTA shows that you want to help support the programs and events that help enhance students' experiences at school. It does not obligate you to attend the PTA meetings or volunteer. While we would love the participation, we understand families are busy during the school year and have other important commitments. Minutes are available and posted online for you to review.
However, attending meetings and volunteering at any of the several PTA sponsored events provide opportunities to meet other parents. Always feel free to contact us if you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments. ptabriarwood@gmail.com
MEETINGS
Board meetings or General Membership meetings occur about once a month. At the general membership meetings, PTA members can vote on budgets, change standing rules, and vote for new board members -- among many other activities. Your input and feedback are important on how the funds are spent.
School Directory
Briarwood's online school directory is only available to PTA members. Families who opt out of having their information displayed will not be included.
We are hoping to achieve 100% PTA membership this year in order to provide our students with the very best experience possible. When signing up for a family membership, please be sure to add two people to the account, this can be a spouse, family friend, grandparent or favorite aunt. When you add a second person to your account, you’re giving Briarwood a bigger voice by allowing us to have more voting delegates at the Legislative assembly where PTAs from across the state come together to advocate for every child.
