Book Fair Save The Date!

Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming! The book fair will be from December 8th through December 12th! Please sign up to volunteer HERE!

SHOPPING HOURS: Our fall book fair will be here before we know it! Shopping times will be the week of December 8-12 during Library Time, and evening times listed below. To help your student shop during library time the best way to send money is to set up an eWallet on Scholastic's website. Tuesday 2/9 3:45-6:00. Thursday 2/11 3:45-6:00. Tuesday evening is the second grade concert and Thursday is the fifth grade concert! Come shop before the concerts and stock up on books for the holidays!

E Wallet is open now! https://www.scholastic.com/bf/briarwoodelementaryschool2

IMPORTANT: If you have set up an eWallet in the past you still need to set up a new wallet for each fair. If you have funds from previous fairs in old eWallets you can transfer the funds to the new wallet for this fall’s fair.

ISD Volunteer Applications Are Open Now!

In order to volunteer in ISD's schools, volunteers must complete a volunteer application and receive approval via email that their application has been approved. A new application must be submitted and approved each school year. If there is a chance you want to volunteer in any capacity, either with PTA or within the school itself, you must complete this process. You can access the volunteer application HERE.

It is time for your YEARLY PTA membership! Join Today!

Elementary schools should be a good balance of fun and learning.  The PTA works hard to bring both to our community when public funding falls short.  Briarwood Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers and community members committed to enhancing the educational experience for all children at Briarwood Elementary School.

There is a gap in State and District funding for essential educational programs and classroom support for teachers. Briarwood students benefit from these extra programs that would not be possible without contributions from the Briarwood community. Donations to PTA fundraising activities help fund the following programs and events:

  • Art Docent Program
  • Clay Art Program - New this year!
  • Music Program
  • Drama Club
  • Books and supplemental materials for the library and classrooms
  • Parent education events
  • Guest speakers, authors, and artists
  • 5th grade promotion events

Please JOIN TODAY and consider making a donation so we can continue to provide enriching activities for all students this year!
